No one was there during that monumental announcement except Mary and the angel that brought the message. Did it really happen the way the Bible describes it? We will never know.
The texts in the Bible have been altered either by accident or on purpose. Different sides of the argument have changed the stories to suit their purposes. The Universal Church won the fight and thus we have their account of what happened. Should, can, we believe it? Caution, I say, caution.
