"Late fall at White Sands, N.M..
Is it snow and ice?"

White Sands National Monument

Nestled in the heart of UFO country is a beautiful landscape of pure white. For miles all you see is a landscape that looks like snow, but it's sand.

We were on a trip to Los Cruces, New Mexico for a Renaissance Festival. My friend made paper flowers which he sprayed with different kinds of smell-good.

We had some time to kill so we pulled into the National Monument. I walked around for hours making photographs and seeing things I had only read about. That's the nice thing about traveling. Too bad gas is so expensive now.
