Unknown In The Beginning
Two disciples are traveling to the village of Emmaus on the day of the resurrection when they happened upon another traveler. They did not recognize the man as their teacher, the Great Rabbi. The "stranger" spoke of the scriptures that dealt with him.
When they got to Emmaus, the disciples asked the "stranger" to stay with them. At the evening meal, the "stranger" took bread, blessed it and broke it and gave it to the disciples.
The disciples' eyes were opened and they knew him. The Great Rabbi then vanished from their sight, leaving the two astounded.
