Fill'er Up
I was covering a parade in Wetumpka, Alabama for, then, United Press International. I happened to spy this Shriner putting gas in his go-cart.
I thought how odd this looks. "Feature Picture" popped into my brain and I made the shot.
The state photo editor liked the shot as well. He also saw the humor and oddness.
The picture was sent over the wire and that was that. I have never found out what publications used the photograph.
