A Rock Pot

The assignment was to carve a form. I chose the teapot for its utilitarian function, which I destroyed by carving the form. I had made another teapot along the same lines as this one, but without the carving. I sprinkled some rock salt on the pot while it was in the kiln.

Storing the piece in a non-humidity and temperature controlled environment took its toll on the pot and it just crumbled when I picked it up one day.
